Editorial standards & methodology
Reckonist's calculators inform real financial decisions, so we hold them to a clear standard: every figure is sourced, dated, and computed transparently.
How calculations are made
Each calculator is powered by a pure, tested calculation engine. The formulas and any statutory rates are documented on the tool page itself — with a worked example — and the underlying values are cross-checked against primary sources before a tool goes live.
Sourcing
Rates, tax slabs, exemption limits and benchmark figures link back to the official or authoritative source on the relevant tool page (for example government tax authorities, central banks, and regulators). Where a figure is a user assumption (such as an expected rate of return or inflation), we say so and let you change it.
Review & dating
Money and tax tools carry a “Last reviewed” date and are attributed to Reckonist Editorial. We review figures when the underlying rules change (for example a new budget or tax year) and refresh the date when we do.
Not financial advice
Our tools provide general information and projections, not personalised investment, tax or legal advice. Projections assume the inputs you provide and a constant rate where applicable; real-world returns vary and are not guaranteed. For decisions with significant consequences, consult a qualified professional. See our full disclaimer.
Corrections
If you spot an error, please tell us — we correct issues promptly and update the review date.
